Sherman sits north of Springfield along the I-55 corridor and has grown steadily, giving us a mix of established homes and newer construction. The village's exposed position north of the city means wind-driven cold in winter is a real factor, and homes here feel an underperforming furnace sooner than more sheltered addresses.
Winter calls dominate our Sherman workload, mostly furnace repair and no-heat response. Booking a furnace tune-up in September or October is the sensible move here, since the first hard cold reliably produces a queue of no-heat calls.
